Here’s a small Pikachu voice recognition toy that will look in your direction and babble “Pika Pika.” According to Takara Tomy’s YouTube description, everyone from small kids to foreigners can play with it. No word of an international release.

Which character represents Japan? According to a multiple answer poll of 500 Japanese people, the first choice was Doraemon with 186 votes, followed by Pikachu (160 votes), Mario (145), Anpanman (116) and Hello Kitty (112). Read the full results here.

Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You! makes its theatrical debut outside of Japan via a pair of special showings November 5 and 6. Moviegoers will score a special trading card and a QR code to unlock a hat-wearing Pikachu in Sun and Moon. Check Fathom Events for tickets and locations.
