Fortnite’s Playground Mode returns this week on July 25. The low-key sandbox mode had its fair share of technical issues when it debuted late last month, but Epic Games appears to have them all figured out now. Squad battle, ATV vehicles, and more will be added, with full 5.10 patch notes coming soon.

Ghost Recon Wildlandsnext free update is out July 24. Special Operations 2 will include a Ghost Mode featuring permadeath, as well as an option to turn off AI companions and travel the world completely alone. Ubisoft is also overhauling the Prestige credit economy so they can be earned in the campaign.

Fornite’s latest patch went live this morning, officially vaulting the Tactical Submachine Gun. It’s been replaced by a slightly higher damage, lower round SMG. Meanwhile, the Typewriter Assault Rifle is being added to Save the World mode.

Mario Tennis Aces1.1.1 Update went live today, tweaking the difficulty of some of the matches in Adventure Mode and adding player ratings for the online mode starting July 1. In addition, a new trailer for the game revealed that Diddy Kong, Koopa Paratroopa, and Birdo will be added this fall.

Ubisoft has finally fixed the deadzone issue in Far Cry 3 Classic Edition just in time for its standalone release today. It was my only major complaint when playing the port last month, with a lack of analog stick sensitivity making precise aiming extremely difficult. That’s no longer the case.

Operation Para Bellum is now live on PC and console and brings with it a new patch which, among other things, has removed the ability to throw grenades back at enemies. In addition to new operators, this update also adds the Villa map, a mafia safe house on a country estate that looks absolutely lovely.  

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 received a hefty free update today adding challenges, daily quests, and more hats, as well as custom mod support. Okri’s Challenges along with daily quests each offer new opportunities to collect loot, while commendation chests now have a higher chance of dropping cosmetics.

Dragon Ball FighterZ gets its next update on May 9. It adds new modes, including Party Battle where three players team up to fight over-powered bosses, and fixes a number of bugs. It also tinkers with some characters like Goku Black, but doesn’t do much over all in the balance department. 

Rainbow Six Siege’s latest patch goes live today on PC and May 2 on consoles. Version Y3S1.2 introduces a number of tweaks, especially to the drone operator Lion, whose scan ability has been significantly weakened. Light machine guns, on the other hand, have had their damage output boosted.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ got its final booster pack update today. Live on Steam and set to come to PS4 sometime in the future, Booster Pack #5 adds items, enemies, and a boss as well as a completely new character. There’s also an extensive list of bug fixes and other small teaks.
