Epic Games' unstoppable online game and social platform debuted in 2017, and its popularity shows no signs of slowing, with a steady stream of collabs with major musicians and iconic franchises.

Fortnite’s next season has been delayed to February 20, Epic announced yesterday. “Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system,” the developer also wrote.

Fortnite’s 11.40 patch adds the ability to “sidegrade” at least one weapon: the example given is the assault rifle, which can be turned into the heavy assault rifle. The patch also reduces the materials needed to upgrade weapons at benches and fixes some bugs.

Fortnite’s 11.31 patch adds Battle Lab, a customizable island that lets you pick fromfavorite LTM loot pools, set up combat scenarios with the new Bot Grenades, and create your own mode by setting options like gravity and fall damage.” Playground mode has been moved to the Creative category.

Fortnite’s Star Wars event has been delayed to 2:10 Eastern, as the game struggles under server troubles.

Fortnite is having a fishing contest from now through Sunday in solos, duos, and squads mode. There are different categories and in-game prizes for catching the most Floppers, Small Fries, Slurpfish, and the Mythic Goldfish. See Epic’s post for all the rules.

The first season of Fortnite Chapter 2 will last until early February, Epic announced today. The developer says “new game features, free rewards and a live experience” are all still to come in the season.
