Star Wars Battlefront will return in 2017 with “bigger and better worlds,” and will pull from the new films, EA announced on an investor call today. It’s unclear if this means a proper Battlefront 2 or a big expansion. An EA spokesperson said the company had “nothing more to share.”

EA has settled a class action lawsuit over the likenesses of college athletes being in the company’s games without permission for $60 million, reports ESPN. As the lawsuit moved forward, EA killed off its NCAA Football franchise in 2011. NCAA Basketball was discontinued in 2010.

Electronic Arts has announced that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has been delayed from February 23 until May 24. No specific reason was given for the delay, other than needing more time for polish. EA has announced a huge delay for Need For Speed on PC, with the game moving from November 3 until Spring 2016. Why? Making sure players can unlock the frame rate and “increase the visuals that we can deliver on PC.” Seems the response to Arkham Knight has made some publishers skittish! Read more

If you’ve been jealous of folks playing Star Wars: Battlefront in the game’s private alpha, EA’s announced the game’s beta will begin sometime in early October. The beta will also mark the debut of a new, mysterious game mode called Drop Zone. Read more
