Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has been delayed until May 8. Originally due out April 3 on PC, Mac, and Linux, Obsidian said it’s taking a few more weeks to polish the game and incorporate feedback from the beta. Deadfire’s supposed to be much bigger than the (brilliant) first game, so what’s another month?

Remember last week when we reported Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana would be out on PC January 30? About that ... turns out NIS America underestimated the work it would take to make the game play smoothly on PC, and have once more pushed the release to an undetermined later date. Welp.

The PC version of Ys VIII: The Lacrimosa of Dana has been delayed. Originally due out tomorrow alongside the excellent Playstation 4 and Vita versions, NIS America says the PC release is on hold due to “continued efforts to improve gameplay quality.” No new date was given.  

The PC version of Sonic Mania has been pushed back from August 15 to August 29. Announced during a live stream this morning, the PC version apparently requires further optimization. Steam preorder customers will get a copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog as compensation.

Eagerly awaited Dungeons & Dragons simulator Sword Coast Legends will be eagerly awaited a bit longer. Its late September PC release has been pushed back to October 20 for extra polish, with console versions set to launch in Q1 2016. Initiative roll failed.

The next entry in Atlus’ beloved RPG series was supposed to come out this year. But that ain’t happening. Persona 5

EA has announced a huge delay for Need For Speed on PC, with the game moving from November 3 until Spring 2016. Why? Making sure players can unlock the frame rate and “increase the visuals that we can deliver on PC.” Seems the response to Arkham Knight has made some publishers skittish! Read more

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX for 3DS gets a special launch edition—and a four month delay. Originally due out next f***ing week, the game will now arrive on September 8 in North America and three days later in Europe, packed in a retail box full of stupid crap to try and make fans feel better. It’s not working.

Good news: Fable Anniversary has a release window. Bad news: it's next year. Lead designer Ted Timmins took to Lionhead's blog today, letting fans know the Xbox 360 remaster of Fable: The Lost Chapters needed more time, and the game is now slated for a February 2014 release.
