Mega Latias ex Special Illustration Rare
The extraordinary Akira Egawa returns with yet another blisteringly good card. Egawa’s work has been blowing us away for years, especially the extraordinary gold cards in Crown Zenith and Obsidian Flame’s all-conquering Charizard. And yet again, I just can’t stop exploring the details for this Latias. Those colors! It’s the “Why aren’t these available as posters?!”-inducing card of this particular set, and given the prices below, I’m kind of blown away it’s not selling over $200. I suspect this will be a card that maintains its value for years to come, while the likes of Lillie and Absol will quickly drop away. Right now it’ll cost you at least $179.
All that said, I wouldn’t want to build a deck around it! It requires at least two different colors of Energy in the three it needs to work, then discards them all after a single almighty 300 hit.
