Mega Venusaur ex Special Illustration Rare
Part of a stunning triptych with Bulbasaur and Ivysaur, mashu’s art is just wonderful. Having the trio in a binder would be such a boast, but blimey it’d cost you. This card alone is currently selling for at least $232, with some listings at the $500 mark. The other two will cost you $25 and $32 respectively, so beyond the means of most mortals.
It’s also one of the most powerful cards in the set, with that wild Solar Transfer ability. You can move Leaf Energy around all your Pokémon as much as you want, as often as you want, just by having this card evolved on your bench. That blows my mind. It also makes it much easier to get those four Energies onto the card for its 240 attack that simultaneously heals 30 from the Venusaur.
