Four-player online co-operative monster hunting is coming to the Wii in 2010, as Capcom finally stops teasing and officially announces Monster Hunter TRI for North America and Europe.
Fans have been clamoring for the North American and European release of Monster Hunter TRI ever since the first gorgeous screens trickled over from Japan, and now they're getting their wish. Along with the game's epic single-player battles, Monster Hunter TRI also features support for up to four players co-operatively hunting massive beasts over the internet, exploring the new underwater environments together with their best friend-coded pals.
"Fans of Nintendo and Monster Hunter are eagerly anticipating the launch of this title in the US, which will be the first time the series is available on a Nintendo home console," said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America's Vice President of Licensing. "Having Capcom bring Monster Hunter Tri to the Wii console provides tremendous action, fun and entertainment to both veteran players and series newcomers alike."
Nintendo's Reggie-Fils Aime actually confirmed that the game was coming to America during our interview with him at E3, but it's good to get confirmation from a reliable source. Just kidding!
