Resident Evil: Revelations is a Frightening, Delightful Experience
This is Resident Evil as I remember it: Eerie, tense, long moments of exploration punctuated by brief, startling encounters. Resident Evil: Revelations, due out next year on Nintendoʼs 3DS, is a brand new title with roots firmly planted in the early days of Resident Evil, back when the game was unequivocally about surviving the horrors…

Blackwater Worldwide, the real-life mercenary team linked to the killing of civilians and noncombatants in Iraq during U.S. operations there, will be the subject of a Kinect-supported video game coming to the Xbox 360 later this year. UncategorizedPaper Mario Is As 2D As The 3DS Could Possibly Be
Paper Mario, you have been a delight on every Nintendo system you have ever appeared on. Don’t go changing that with the 3DS version! Not that there’s any reason to doubt the series, given what’s on show in the above E3 trailer.

UncategorizedRise of Nightmares Will Tie You Up in a Dirty Basement and Stab You in the Eye
You want a mature Kinect title? Sega’s got your mature Kinect title in Rise of Nightmares, featured in this E3 trailer that looks like one of today’s edgier horror films threw up. When I first saw Microsoft’s Kinect in action, my immediate thought was “Finally I can play a game in which I truly feel…

You Are the Hero In Super Mario Bros. Mii
If this looks familiar, that’s because Super Mario Bros. Mii is basically Super Mario Bros. Wii. Only for the Wii U, and instead of controlling lesser Mushroom Kingdom stars, your Mii can pull on some overalls and get to work. Remember, although Nintendo is releasing media for this and has playable demos, it remains just…

UncategorizedDevil May Cry’s E3 Trailer Brings The White Hair
Don’t like the new Dante’s look? You may want to watch this. You know, this still looks nothing like a Devil May Cry game. And as someone who was never really interested in Devil May Cry games before, but likes where this is going, that’s a good thing.

What’s Under the Wii U’s Hood? IBM Spills a Few Chips
While Nintendo normally doesn’t like to talk numbers when touting a new system’s capabilities, the companies providing those capabilities have no such qualms. Like IBM, who today issued a press release boasting some of the Wii U’s hardware specifications, including the fact the microprocessor serving as “the heart” of the console is a custom 45nm…

Mario Kart 3DS Adds Miis, Flying and…Oh yeah, 3D
If you thought for a second that Nintendo wasn’t going to bring Mario Kart to 3DS, than I guess today is your lucky day. For most of us however, the game’s biggest surprise is the addition of flying and undersea racing. Nintendo has also added Mii support and the standard array of 3DS features; Spot…

Animal Crossing 3DS is a Link to the Past
Are you ready for a radical departure from the Animal Crossing formula for the game’s foray on the Nintendo 3DS? That’s just not going to happen, but here’s a guy dressed as Link. Animal Crossing; Animal Crossing never changes. Those were the words famously spoken by actor Ron Pearlman in my head the last time…

This is New Super Mario Bros. running on the Wii U. As with all of the Wii U software being shown at E3 in Los Angeles this week, it’s Only A Prototype. Surely, though, the people at Nintendo will make some sort of Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U. And maybe, as in…

Aliens: Colonial Marines for the Wii U Might Happen, or Possibly Not [Update]
While they’ve got nothing to show and aren’t even sure it’s going to happen, Gearbox Software and SEGA want everyone to know that there’s a chance Aliens: Colonial Marines might appear on the Wii U, possibly. Game development isn’t an exact science. One can never tell if a new game will work on a new…

UncategorizedZelda Games on Wii U Could Look This Stunning
This is only a test. A test to show off what kind of HD graphics the Wii U can produce. It is also a test to show off how lovely the game can look even if you’re playing it just on your controller. I’d love to show you the HD version of this video, but,…

Yes, You Can Use a Stylus with the Wii U Controller
Although it’s certainly not necessary to use a stylus all the time with the Nintendo Wii U’s touchscreen controller, as this picture shows there may be games that work better with the 3DS-like stylus. (That also implies that it’s a resistive touchscreen, not a capacitive one like the iPhone and iPad.)
