If this looks familiar, that's because Super Mario Bros. Mii is basically Super Mario Bros. Wii. Only for the Wii U, and instead of controlling lesser Mushroom Kingdom stars, your Mii can pull on some overalls and get to work.
Remember, although Nintendo is releasing media for this and has playable demos, it remains just that - a demo - and not a confirmed commercial product.
