A Lightning-Fast Origin Story For The Man Behind Metal Gear

I enjoyed Lore‘s rundown of Metal Gear Solid 4 Lore in a Minute. So I also enjoyed this breakdown of the origin of the man behind the games, Metal Gear maestro Hideo Kojima. I’ve heard this story before, but it’s always nice to see it broken down so succinctly, and accompanied by such pretty illustrations.

If The Legend of Zelda’s Hero Appeared On More TV Shows…

Then he’d probably look a bit like these renditions by TanBurn. The two above are, of course, Link in the style of South Park and Link in the style of The Simpsons. To be fair, Link has appeared in a couple of the following TV shows—The Powerpuff Girls, for example. Still, it’s neat to see…

Flattery Will Get You Everywhere

But really I think it was just a bee sting. Nah, he was hitting on me.

Your House Sucks

I love you, Kid Cat, but seriously your house sucks. At least I can use that trash can to throw things out. Your house is literally my dumpster, Kid Cat. I lied when I said it was great. I LIED. I JUST DIDN’T WANT YOU TO GET MAD AND MOVE.

Aim High, Blue Cat

The sky is the limit, Moe. Glad to see you’re taking advantage of that.

Cat’s Got Some Beef

Just look at that evil glare. I had heard of this drama before. The blue cat told me.

Watch Us Play…Shelter. Now You Can Live The Dream Of Being A Badger

I don’t know what badgers eat. It’s a shortcoming that becomes painfully obvious in this playthrough of Might & Delight’s new game Shelter, which just got greenlit on Steam for personal and macintosh computers. If you enjoyed Journey, but wished the protagonist was something more relatable — like a badger — then Shelter might be…

Kicking Back, Drinking Some Beer And Playing Candy Crush Saga

Voted least likely to be the subject of a drunken ‘Let’s Play’ video on YouTube, here King’s social/mobile puzzle sensation demonstrates it’s near-universal appear as Major and Squarepainter take on Candy Crush Saga‘s dreaded level 65. What the pair have done in this series of videos (see part two and part three), is unwittingly captured…

Microsoft finally got down to officially telling everyone the official price of an extra Xbox One controller, and it’s $59.99. The Xbox One’s headset—which isn’t included in the box—is $24.99. This is important because existing Xbox 360 controllers and compatible headsets won’t work with the Xbox One (Microsoft reasons that Kinect, included with every Xbox…

This Punch-Out Homage Makes It Seem like Superman Had It Easy

The case has been made that, without his freeze breath, super-speed or invulnerability, Superman really ain’t that tough. In the famous 1978 Superman vs. Muhammad Ali comic, a de-powered Kal-El had to face up against The Greatest of All Time and got smacked around by the champion. But, when you compare Ali to Little Mac’s…
