Old Dungeons Are Back In World of Warcraft‘s “Timewalking” Mode
Lower level dungeons in World of Warcraft are always fun to solo at level 100, but with a new feature called “Timewalking”, players will be able to run these again with their gear and levels scaled down accordingly. The concept of this feature is actually not new. It was hinted several times in the past…

One of the Strangest Burgers To Ever Hit Japan
But first, the question that must be asked is whether or not this is even a burger. Is it? I’m not so sure. Fast food chain Lotteria, no stranger to peculiar burgers ( here , here , here , andhere ), is rolling out a “Shrimp-Less Burger” (エビなしバーガー or Ebi Nashi Baagaa). Most fast food…

Nothing Says Japanese Culture Like Star Wars
Every spring in Japan, families with sons set up samurai armor displays so that their boys grow up to be healthy, strong, and understand the true power of the Force. Wait, what? I have three sons, so in preparation for Children’s Day on May 5, we set up this small suit of armor (or “yoroi”…

UncategorizedAnimal Crossing Makes Mario Kart 8 Cuter
And that’s saying something because Mario Kart is already pretty cute. Here’s a look at the second DLC pack for Mario Kart 8, which is heavy on the Animal Crossing. But wait! There’s more. Much more. The DLC adds the Animal Crossing Villager as well as Isabelle. But it’s not all AC, because the third…

A Metal Gear Solid V Comparison Shows Differences Between TPP and GZ
Metal Gear Solid V comes in two iterations. There is bite-sized MGS V: Ground Zeroes, released in 2014, and the upcoming (and much, much longer) MGS V: The Phantom Pain. As pointed out by the MGO Forums, here’s a comparison that shows the differences between both games. MGO Forums shows how nearly the exact same…

Live in Japan? Got plans for this weekend? You know, you can always put on this large, unsettling cat head. As reported on BuzzMag and Togetter, this “Real Cat Head” will be on display starting this Saturday at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. It will be part of a larger, free exhibit that will run…

Nice Town. It’d Be A Shame If Something Happened To It.
Rhys Griffiths is a freelance concept artist and illustrator from Melbourne. You can see more of Rhys’ work at his personal site and ArtStation page. Building Badass Destiny Hand Cannons
Say what you will about Destiny, I think it’s one of the best-looking games in years, with some very cool weapons just lying around for people to cruelly and unfairly pick up. My personal favourite is the hand cannon, because I am a Titan, and that’s just how I like to get shit done. Normally,…

UncategorizedMMA Star Says Mortal Kombat Likeness “Cannot Be A Coincidence”
As far as Mortal Kombat characters go, Cassie Cage is pretty fun. She chews gum, kicks ass, and takes selfies with the jawless corpses of her victims. She also bears an odd resemblance to UFC fighter Felice Herrig, something Herrig thinks is more than a coincidence. Herrig, who fights on this weekend’s UFC on FOX…

When A Cosplay Rookie Takes Awesome Cosplay Photos
Mario Giancini is a professional photographer who until April 2015 had zero contact with the cosplay scene. Not that you’d know it by looking at these sweet photos. Being a big gamer, and with MegaCon 2015 going down ten minutes away from his house, Giancini went along with his camera and shot the cosplaying attendees.…

PC Case Costs More Than Most PCs
It’s taken three years, but that ridiculously expensive PC case we showed you a while back has finally entered production. And no, it hasn’t had a price cut. Formerly called the MURDERBOX, it’s since been rebranded as something more fitting for an expensive piece of PC hardware: the XFORMA MKII, which has just the right…

An Adventure Game Built For The Apple Watch
Did you panic last week and stay up late to preorder a first-generation Apple Watch like some idiot? Me too. And here comes developer Wayforward Technologies to mildly justify it with Watch Quest. Launching April 24, hopefully the same day my Apple Watch Sport arrives in the post, Watch Quest is an adventure game that…

Titan Souls Is An Infuriating Game, But I Love It
“FUCK,” I shout, as I stomp my foot in anger. I hope my housemates can’t hear me, but they probably can. I’ve lost to this Titan Souls boss for something like the 25th time in a row. Some of the losses came after minutes that felt like they stretched on for hours, grueling dances where…

UncategorizedMortal Kombat X‘s Familial Fatalities Have Got Me Down
No parent should ever outlive their child. They definitely shouldn’t tear open their child’s chest while quoting a classic horror movie and hamming it up for the camera. As a long-time fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise, I have no problem with the franchises brutal signature finishing moves. Thelatest batch might be gorier than most,…

UncategorizedThe GTA Ghost That Became An Obsession
I don’t remember how I came across the clip. Maybe someone sent it to me. Maybe I had opened it earlier in the day, while looking for something else. It was just… there, in the middle of a sea of other browser tabs. “GHOST CAUGHT IN GTA,” the title promised. Of course I watched it.…

UncategorizedSquirrel Girl Versus WonderCon 2015? No Contest.
What happens when Marvel’s most powerful hero takes on Anaheim’s annual comic book convention? That’s a silly question. FromD Piddy, that guy who is Deadpool all the time, comes the thrilling tail of cosplayer Zerggiee’s trip to WonderCon in the guise of Squirrel Girl, champion of all that is wholesome and nutty. The ensuing carnage…

UncategorizedThe New Mortal Kombat Is Fun, Y’all
I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat X since late last night and I don’t want to stop. Honestly, I’m a little annoyed that I have to stop playing NetherRealm’s newest installment of the long-lived martial-arts series to actually write about it. Whether it’s been in the snarkily self-aware Story Mode or playing against another human online,…
