Dark Souls Expert Is Trying To Beat The Game Upside Down

What you’re seeing is not an illusion. LobosJR is no stranger to playing Dark Souls in weird ways. His streaming channel became popular when he was trying to play Dark Souls with a blindfold on. But his latest stunt may be my favorite one yet, as he uses a simple mod to flip the screen…

SuperChargers Dark Editions Complicate Skylander And Amiibo Collecting

Dark Edition Skylanders starter packs and their exclusive toy variants have always vexed collectors, but the upcoming SuperChargers Dark Editions add a deeper level of frustration in the form of two different Nintendo sets, each with their own exclusive Skylander/Amiibo toys. The standard Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition for PlayStations and Xboxes come with four toys…

Dragon Age Inquisition’s Next DLC Will Be for Current-Gen Consoles Only

Good news: there’s new DLC on the way for BioWare’s giant-sized fantasy RPG. Bad news: it will only be playable on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Seems like the adventure’s over for last-gen console owners. Spotted via Eurogamer, a post on the official Dragon Age website details an inbound save importer functionality that will carry…

Microscale LEGO Jurassic Park Has All The Highlights

Here’s a micro brick version of the original Jurassic Park by Sami Mustonen. He built giant dinosaur models before, now it’s time to do the exact opposite. Everything’s there (well, almost, it needs more Dennis Nedry) from the 1993 movie: the main gate, the Raptors’ pit, the T-Rex paddock, the visitor center, the Brachiosaurus and…

For Frieza, Nipples Change Everything

There’s a good reason why Frieza doesn’t usually have nipples. Make that, two reasons. Previously, Golden Frieza made his debut in the movie Dragon Ball Z: The Resurrection of F. The character’s golden version does not have nipples. See? [Photo: you_ki61] [Photo: GoOvbc] [Photo: coolbeauty123yk] Frieza is nipple-free. At a recent event to mark Dragon…

Japanese Snacks Don’t Get Odder Than This

I love salted salmon. I love chewy candy. But salted salmon chewy candy? Eh… I’ll sit this one out. Japanese snack Puccho is teaming up with the Sanrio salmon character known as Kirimi-chan for a limited edition salmon candy. This is most unusual and is even surprising for Japanese people. [Photo: uma_1222] Typically, Puccho comes…

Metal Gear Solid V Has Cardboard Box Sledding

If the amusing dogs, pooping horsesandsheep balloons weren’t enough, maybe the game’s cardboard box sledding will be. Kotaku has already spent two hours with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but now, let’s sit back and watch thirty minutes of the game. The video below is in Japanese, with certain parts sped up on…

Kpop Dance Move Is So Attack on Titan

The Korean pop group Sistar has a smash hit on their hands with “Shake It.” The YouTube video has racked up over five million views. Congrats on that! Ditto for the Attack on Titan comparisons. Wait. What? As folks online in South Korea recently pointed out (via the Entasia Forums), one of the group’s dance…

We Did It

Big Mech, Big Head

JC Park is a concept artist from Korea who has worked on games like Aion and Legend of the Cryptids. He’s one of the best in the business. You might not know it from the games he’s worked on (since most are for Korea), but you’ll know it after seeing his art. If you like…

New Shmup Lets You Fly, Or Shoot, But Not Both

Aerobat is a shmup with a difference: you can charge your engines, or fire your weapons, but you can only do one of them at a time. Which sounds nuts until you see the bobbing gliding and weaving in the trailer above. Argh, it looks so good. It’s coming for PC, and you check out…
