Tokyo Disneyland Has Coke-Flavored Hot Dogs? Kind Of!
This might look like a regular hot dog. It’s not. This is a Coca-Cola flavored pulled pork hot dog. But don’t get too excited just yet! On the official Tokyo Disney Resort website, you can see a list for a “Coca-Cola Flavored Pulled Pork and Sausage Hot Dog” (コカ・コーラ味プルドポーク＆ソーセージのホットドッグ). It specifically says “Coca-Cola flavored.” The…

Manga Fans Sure Can Be Demanding
Just as we’re reminded of the insane hours One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda keeps, we forget about another famed manga creator who has been taking time off. Japanese site Netallica pointed out the concern Oda’s schedule has caused among fans, with people saying he should not overdue it and should take it easy. What about…

Words Can Hurt Far More Than Sticks and Stones
Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day is one ofthe most depressing and yet ultimately uplifting anime series out there. And now its creators are back to tell you a story about how hurtful words can be in the modern-day fairy tale Anthem of the Heart At its most basic level, Anthem of the Heart…

Kotaku EastLike Kaiju Movies? Good, Because They’re Making a New Gamera
And now, we get a first peek at the film with this short teaser. Godzilla is great and all, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Gamera. I really loved the 1990s remakes with Steven Seagal’s daughter, Ayako Fujitani. We don’t get that good of a look at Gamera (you can see him a…

UncategorizedEight Players Who Killed It In The Star Wars Battlefront Beta
Savage snipes. Clutch kills. Close calls. The Star Wars Battlefront beta has produced many awesome moments that players are capturing on video, and they are a delight to watch. Here are some of my favorite picks! The player who destroyed a TIE Fighter with a grenade Nice going, Len Kagamine The Player Who Sniped An…

Cosplay Is A Dieselpunk Nightmare
Dieselpunk is steampunk’s little brother, focused more on the tech of the 1920s-50s than the 19th century. Think Fallout, or BioShock. Or this amazing suit made by Brian Cargile It’s an original design called The Panzersöldner, and is made up of a combination of metal, rubber, eva foam and plastics. Oh, and it lights up.…

UncategorizedAmerica: The Video Game Trailer
One of the weird things about Steam’s Early Access is that you play a game, stop playing, move on and forget it ever existed. Then when it actually comes out, you’re like “uh, it’s already out, I played it months/years ago”, and then get a little confused. So it is with BroForce I played the…

CultureI Love When A Steam Early Access Game Gets It Right
Steam Early Access can be a crapshoot, with emphasis on the “crap.” Cryptark bucks the trend. The derelict space ship invader roguelike just hit Steam Early Access, but I don’t think I’d have guessed it was early without the disclaimer. The game’s campaign and presentation are slick as hell—fully voice acted and backed by a…

UncategorizedGTA V’s Ramp Truck Destroys All The Cars
Hey, it’s BlackSmoke Billy! The master of dumb GTA V vehicle action returns with RAMP TRUCK. Rockstar probably wishes this was an actual in-game truck right about now. RAMP TRUCK was made using a trainer and a tweak to the game’s handling so “the cars would fly higher”. Good idea. (via Laughing Squid)

UncategorizedHorse Game Shows Tony Hawk How To Shred
Video games are beautiful. What you’re looking at above is “Snow Horse,” game that started out as somewhat of a joke, but then ended up morphing into this awesomeness: One of the developers, Christopher Figeroa, says that the points are made-up. You can actually play it however you’d like, which probably adds to the fun.…

Shocktober, Week One: Goodnight Mommy Is A Creepy Ass Movie
That’s not weird at all. Nope nope nope. It’s just one of many unsettling things I’ve seen in the past week, as part of my horror watching binge. To kick off October, aka Shocktober, I published two different horror lists on Kotaku. The first one, 31 Movies For Hardcore Horror Fans, is for genre hounds…

Today We’re Playing Heroes Of The Storm With Blizzard [Done!]
Thanks so much for watching. Especially those who stuck it out through my computer crashing. You all are amazing. I had a lot of fun with this and I’m going to try doing more playing-with-the-devs type things—provided I fix my computer first! There’s a tradition in League of Legends where players will reach out to…
