CultureGive Vicar Max A Chance In The Outer Worlds, Guys
When you first meet Maximillion DeSoto in The Outer Worlds, he has a snide comment about everything. When I recruited Felix, a nice kid who is trying his best, Max sneered about adopting street urchins. I disliked Vicar Max almost the moment he settled in with my party. He’s a dickhead, but after spending some…

CultureWhy It Took So Long For World Of Warcraft To Add Diverse Human Customization Options
World of Warcraft is about to die—by which I of course mean that its next expansion, Shadowlands, is sending everybody to Azeroth’s afterlife for another day in the fantastical, boar-filled office of questing and looting. But while life after death is probably the most standout new feature, the expansion will also add a suite of…

CultureMods Bring LEGO To Star Wars Battlefront II
Finally, a way to combine LEGO Star Wars and Star Wars Battlefront in the one game. Here’s a mod by Dulana57 that swaps out DICE’s Yoda for a LEGO one instead: Love it. Sadly it looks like a lot of work for purely cosmetic results, work few are willing to put in, as I could…

CultureI Installed Windows 3.1 To Play A Myst Parody Starring John Goodman
On Sunday, I went to the flea market, and found exactly what I was hoping for: a big pile of cheap video games. In this case, it was a bin full of somebody’s collection of big-box 1990s PC games, adult-owned, in mint condition. I suddenly found myself the owner of the critically acclaimed I Have…

OpinionModern Warfare’s Campaign Is Fun But It’s Playing With Fire
When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was first announced, I was a little surprised that its title suggested it would be rebooting, or at least paying homage, to the first Modern Warfare game that I had come to love back in 2007. I’ve now beaten the game, so now I know that, just as the…
