Kotaku is at the New York Comic-Con and Marvel has video games to discuss. Plus a new one to announce. What will it be? It’s liveblog time.
You read some magazines for the articles. You play some fighting games for the storylines. This is the tale of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, as revealed by comics and video game writer Frank Tieri at New York Comic-Con.
I missed Captain America wheeling a kid in a wagon. I missed Joker choking Robin. But I did catch these people cosplaying at the New York Comic-Con, some of them as video game characters, one of whom thought I was Luke Plunkett.
Add StarCraft II’s Kerrigan and World of Warcraft’s Moonkin to the assembly of statues based on Blizzard’s big games, coming from DC Comics. At New York Comic-Con, I shot video of those debuting statues and the rest of the line. The StarCraft figures — Zeratul, Raynor, Tychus and Kerrigan — are scheduled for a “mid-2011”…
Video games have now given the society at least two things: 1) children with better hand-eye coordination and 2) the opportunity for people dressed as Chewbacca to dance to Michael Jackson. Updated with superior video. The latter was made possible by Ubisoft’s Michael Jackson The Experience video game. The November Wii, DS and PSP release…
Kotaku is at New York Comic-Con where there are some video things here: games, statues, cosplayers. More of all that forthcoming, but let’s start with two photos of Steampunk Boba Fett, designed by Penny Dreadful Productions. (Click these images to see much larger versions.)
The video game series that made PlayStation thumbsticks mandatory is now one of the first Sony franchises moving to PlayStation 3’s motion controller. We wrote about Ape Escape for Move in Tokyo. In New York yesterday, we shot video. Sony revealed the new Ape Escape at Tokyo Game Show last month. I didn’t know Ape…
The iPad is not a Dreamcast, but it plays Chu Chu Rocket. It runs an upcoming port of the classic well, Sega proved when they brought it to New York this week. Chu Chu Rocket is one of those classics I never played. A favorite of fans of Sega’s final gaming console, the Dreamcast, it…
Because it is a Mega Man game, the upcoming Mega Man Universe will be tough. In New York, yesterday, a Capcom employee was willing to try only an “easy” level for our camera. His fear of failure is understandable. The video shows a playthrough of one of three Mega Man Universe levels that had been…

At New York Comic-Con today, Rockstar Games is letting showgoers try Undead Nightmare, the last announced downloadable expansion to the company’s hit western. This is the one with zombies and zombie horses, a combination of new single-player…
You may expect men of great brawn and muscle-thickness to instigate the massive spectacles in modern, action-packed video games. Infamous’ Cole, is a slender PlayStation 3 hero, but Infamous 2 already shows he could wreck Marcus Fenix, ruin the Hulk. On the eve of New York Comic-Con where more titanic super-heroes will be on display,…
Before Blizzard revealed that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm would go on sale in December, retailer Amazon was informing customers that they would get the game in January. Have no fear. The retail giant tells Kotaku “we will be releasing World of Warcraft: Cataclysm on the official release date of December 7, 2010.”
