The heat continues around here, and so does my desire to stay indoors. So I’m happy that two of this month’s PlayStation Plus games are all about getting around places on foot with friends. Who needs to go outside and deal with weather that feels like 115 degrees when you can stay indoors, crank that AC, drink water, and hike around with pals virtually from your couch?

On July 28, PlayStation revealed next month’s selection of PS5 and PS4 games that will be available to all PS Plus subscribers across all tiers. These games will be available to add to your PlayStation library permanently starting on August 4. Once added, you can install them and play them whenever you want as long as you remain an active PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium subscriber. Here’s the list of games and what platforms they’re available on.

  • Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition | PS5, PS4
  • Big Walk | PS5, PS4
  • Signalis |  PS4

You don’t want to wait too long to grab these PS Plus monthly games, as they’re only available to grab for free until August 31. After that, a new batch of not-yet-announced games will be made available to subscribers.

I’m very excited to see Big Walk arrive on PlayStation Plus as a day-one release. I feel like it’s one of those games that might be tricky to get some of my friends to buy, but as a freebie included with PS Plus they’ll probably give it a shot. And I hope they do, as Big Walk looks to be a lot of fun, featuring tons of puzzles to solve and a big island to explore with a group of your pals. Meanwhile, if my friends want to hang out and move around but also kill zombies too, well then we can all grab Dying Light 2 next month. It’s a damn fine zombie RPG that is a lot better in 2026 than it was at launch. Lastly, Signalis is a creepy indie survival horror game worth checking out.

Don’t forget to add June’s freebies to your PlayStation account library. You have until July 6 to grab For The King 2, Modern Warfare III, and Cross Code
