Lucasarts were once working on a Darth Maul game. It was cancelled, of course, like most things the post-millennium Lucasarts ever touched, but that doesnāt mean we canāt look over its concept art and wonder what could have been.

Note that this isnāt the first time weāve seen art from the projectāwe posted about some pics a few years backābut one of the artists involved has just dumped a whole load of previously unseen images from the game (via Super Punch), so itās a good time to circle back around and check it out.
Seems the game was in development at the time Disney bought Star Wars, and ended up being cancelled shortly afterwards after around 12 months of work. It would have been set after Return of the Jedi, with the bad guys you see below part of a āNew Empireā, similar to the First Order we now have in this post-Disney Star Wars universe.
Of course, Darth Maul wasnāt the only casualty of Disneyās deal; 1313, a game that would have been about Boba Fett and the seedy underbelly of Coruscant, was binned as well
