As we begin the march into March, it’s time to take a couple days off and play some games.
What will you be playing this weekend? I’ll go first: I finished Superhot but still want to make more progress in the various challenge modes, so I’ll probably play some more of that. Mostly, however, I’m going to be returning to two very large games that I keep meaning to play more of: Pillars of Eternity and Final Fantasy XIV. I started a fresh Pillars game this week and rolled a Cipher, using some build-optimization guides I found online. I gather that class is really good, and when it comes down to it, I’m happy to rely on a guide for a game like this one. I’m also back into FFXIV mostly so that Jason and I can have something to play together, as we’ve been discussing on Kotaku Splitscreen.
I’ll also make some time for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, where I’ll be determining once and for all whether starting a “casual” playthrough with no permadeath makes the game too boring for me. I might hit a few others if I have time, but those will be my mainstays for the next couple of days.
How about you? What are you playing this weekend?
