Watch Me Shoot Things On The PS4

Killzone: Shadow Fall sure is pretty. Out for the PlayStation 4 this fall, whenever the system launches, the latest Killzone game lets you shoot people in all sorts of ways, as you can see in this video we shot yesterday. Enjoy.

My mid-range PC with a low-end graphic card runs significantly better graphics than those shown above at 60 or even 120FPS. This concerns me a little bit about the power of these new consoles. Unlike past generations, they don't seem to be starting where high-end PCs are currently at, so they can hang around for 5-10 years. They seem instead to be starting where low-end PCs are currently at and in 5-10 years will be — relatively speaking — as underpowered as the Wii.

I realize this is a launch title. But even being a launch title, a higher-end console could display far better textures, etc. This sucks.

And if you compare the jump from Killzone on the PS2 and Killzone 2 on the PS3 with the jump from Killzone 3 on the PS3 to Killzone 4 on the Ps4? Not even close. The jump was MUCH bigger between PS2 and PS3, which is inexcusable as there has been a much longer period of time between the PS3 and PS4 than there was between the PS2 and PS3.
