No demo version is planned for Tomb Raider, said Karl Stewart of the game's studio, Crystal Dynamics, because doing so would reveal too much of the story before the game's release.

"We've weaved such an personal story we don't believe spoiling it by having you wait a week or so to play on, delivers on our promise," he said via Twitter on Wednesday.

The good news, however: "There's no Season or Online Pass," Stewart added yesterday, a welcome change and a small surprise given this game will feature multiplayer for the first time in the series' history.

Tomb Raider releases March 5 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

It's ok Mr. Karl Stewart... I'm pretty sure those guys at REVOLVED, SKIDROW or nosTEAM will be more than happy to provide me with a lenghty demo of your game.

What? Don't like it when people pirate your game to see if it's worth a dime? Oh... poor you...

Since people were not catching up on the sarcasm of the post, I'll just copy paste my answer to another guy here:

My "to see if it's worth a dime" point is just as valid/bogus as his "doing so would reveal too much of the story" one.

If we are supposed to trust them and buy the game without ever playing a demo of it, then they can surely trust us to delete our pirated copy once we are done trying it out.
