Re: Now This Is Service
Today the family and I headed to Carlsbad, New Mexico to check out their spectacular caverns. As usual, I wrote while Trish drove. About half way there we came across a border patrol check point station. When we stopped to talk to the INS agents we realized that Trish's parents, visiting from Australia, had left their passports back at the house.
It took some sweet talking for the agents to let us call someone at the house to fax copies to them, instead of taking them both into custody while we drove the hour or so back to the house. Happy endings though.
After making our way past the check point we made it to the caverns and spent about three hours exploring them before returning home.
Have you ever been? It's pretty freakin spectacular. The whole time I kept thinking that it would be the perfect place to build an underground city. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't convince Tristan that molemen had, in fact, already started on the city.
