The creators of Ratchet and Clank and Sunset Overdrive finally take the PC plunge with Slow Down, Bull, a delightfully simple game about a bull and his art.
My how Insomniac’s grown over the past few years. In 2012 the 21-year-old development studio released its first non-PlayStation game with Facebook’s Outernauts. In 2013 came Fuse, its first multiplatform title, followed by its first Xbox exclusive, Sunset Overdrive.
And here we have Insomniac’s first PC title. Crafted by a five-person team in Unity and released today on Steam with half of the proceeds benefiting the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Slow Down, Bull is an action puzzle game with simple gameplay, adorable characters and an awesome elementary art-class style.
Here’s the official description, as foretold by prophecy.
Slow Down, Bull is an action collecting game about a stressed out, overachiever bull who just wants to make beautiful art. Help steer Esteban through a beautiful schoolcraft art world to collect as many crafty pieces as you can, but be careful! Every time you steer him, he gets a little more stressed out, and you DON’T want to stress him out! Run and bounce around levels in 5 different areas, avoid knocking over hapless denizens, don’t get caught by Annette the Bullcatcher, and above all, keep your cool! Meet new critter friends to help Esteban achieve his dreams of being the best he can possibly be. Replay levels to improve your scores!
I feel so close to Esteban now. He truly is an every-bull.
The First Five is the first five minutes of a game with light commentary. Once the five minutes are up, so are we.
