While Darksiders fans won't see a sequel until 2012, that doesn't stop THQ from rolling out the tie-in merchandise, starting with a 288-page art book coming from UDON Entertainment, debuting as a limited hardcover edition at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Before he made video games, Darksiders creative director Joe Madureira was a prolific comic book artist, so between him and the rest of the Vigil Games art staff, there's bound to be tons of concept art for the game floating about. UDON Entertainment, best known for their work with Capcom on Street Fighter comics and art books, will be binding together that floating concept art into a handsome 288-page paperback art book, due out in October.

But why wait? Visitors to the San Diego Comic-Con running July 22–25 will be able to pick up a limited-edition hardcover copy of the book. Not only that, Joe Madureira himself will be at the convention, autographing copies.
