Summer Game Fest week is basically over, and what a jam-packed week it was, filled with more showcases than ever and what felt like more game trailers than ever, too. There were a lot of big game reveals and surprise announcements during the week across all the different events, including Sony’s State of Play and the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. So I’m here to help you keep track of the biggest and coolest reveals during SGF week. You don’t have to thank me; this is my job.

Below are 13 of the biggest trailers that appeared across all of Summer Game Fest week, along with some release date and platform availability information. 2027 is shaping up to be a big year, assuming nothing gets delayed. Anyway, here’s the list.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation

Arguably the biggest reveal of Summer Game Fest season came at the end of the main show with the full reveal of the third and final entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy. Sure, it seemed very likely to be announced here, but it was still the biggest reveal and trailer of the night and likely the entire week. The final chapter arrives in spring 2027 on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC.

Resident Evil Veronica

Summer Game Fest’s main show kicked off with a reveal trailer for Resident Evil: Veronica, the next big remake from Capcom. This time around, the company is remaking the Dreamcast exclusive Code Veronica, a sometimes forgotten entry in the series that stars Claire and Chris Redfield. This remake arrives in 2027.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond

After years of rumors and reports, Toys for Bob and Activision finally revealed the next Spyro game. It’s called Spyro: A Realm Beyond, and we don’t know much about it, but I’m just happy to have the little purple dragon back again. This one also has a vague 2027 release date.

Until Dawn 2

I wasn’t expecting a sequel to Until Dawn to appear during Summer Game Fest, but here we are. This standalone sequel is being developed by Firesprite and not original Until Dawn dev Supermassive. Until Dawn 2 is set to arrive in 2027 exclusively on PS5.

Persona 6

Persona 6 was announced after many rumors and leaks…and that’s about it. We know very little about this game, and the reveal trailer at the Xbox Showcase was just a bunch of creepy imagery and a logo. We’ll have to wait to learn more. No release date.

God of War Laufey

Sony ended its big State of Play digital event with a bang: the reveal of a new God of War spin-off game starring Kratos’ wife, Faye. We got to see over 20 minutes of gameplay, and it looks to be a faster, more fluid action game with some wild characters. No release date for this one yet.

Virtua Fighter Crossroads

RGG Studio, the team behind Yakuza/Like a Dragon, is developing Virtua Fighter Crossroads. This is the first new mainline Virtua Fighter game in nearly 20 years. Crossroads is still a fighting game, but expect more narrative and Yakuza-like street-level action. Oh, and more swearing, too. This one is coming in 2027.

Guild Wars 3

Guild Wars 3, the next installment in the popular MMORPG franchise, was announced by ArenaNet during the main Summer Game Fest showcase, though it leaked ahead of time via behind-the-scenes website shenanigans. The devs are calling this “a modern evolution of the MMO” and for the first time, Guild Wars will be playable on PS5 as well as PC when a beta arrives in fall 2027.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

The next entry in the Plague Tale series was revealed during the Xbox Showcase on Sunday. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a more action-focused prequel to the second game in the franchise and is set to launch on Xbox, PS5, and PC very soon, on August 27.

1666 Amsterdam

Patrice Désilets, one of the original creators behind Assassin’s Creed, showed off his new game during Summer Game Fest. 1666: Amsterdam looks strange but very intriguing, and yeah, a bit like Assassin’s Creed. It’s a historical action-adventure game starring a woman who uses magic to “uncover demonic entities” hiding in plain sight.  There’s a small demo up on Steam right now if you want to see more. No release date was shared.

Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

A new Stellar Blade was teased during Summer Game Fest. It features a new, younger-looking character named Evie, but is set in the same universe as the original Stellar Blade. No release date was shared for this upcoming action game from Shift Up.

Senua

The next entry in the “Hellblade universe,” as Xbox refers to it, is Senua. It once again stars Senua, the Celtic warrior seen in the first two games. This time around, she’s fighting to reach the “afterlife and reunite with those she loved and lost.” It will launch in 2027 on PS5, Xbox, and PC.

Stuntman: Hollywood

I’d have placed a $500 bet that we’d never get a new Stuntman game. But I’m happy to be wrong, as this next entry from Saber, Stuntman: Hollywood, will feature real movies, like Fast and Furious, for the first time in the franchise’s history. It’s “Coming Soon” for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
