When you get deep into the weeds of a player-management mode, you test the limits of the game's ability to randomize reasonable names as it seeds the roster with fresh talent.
Reader Justin is a decade into MLB 2K11's franchise mode as the general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, and shares this gallery of gems. Normally, games autogenerate names off the existing roster, to which they have a license. "This will create a few more Aroldises [Ed. note: Aroldii?] and Yunieskys than there are in the world, and sometimes hilarity will ensue," Justin writes.
MLB 2K11's robust set of nicknames also helps the chuckle-factor. Here are a few. Justin says he's to the point where he's drafting players solely "based off their awesome names."
