Total War: Warhammer had previously locked an entire race, the Chaos Warriors, behind pre-order DLC, but the developer has since reversed its position. Now, the Chaos Warriors will be free for anyone who pre-orders or buys the game—until a week after release. It’s a good compromise.

The Total War series is getting an infusion of orcs and magic with the long-rumored Total War: Warhammer. Creative Assembly’s latest strategy game has been confirmed, though we don’t have a release date (or even year) quite yet.

Warhammer Online, due for a shutdown in mid-December, has gone free-to-play as a "parting gift" to those who had an account in good standing as of Thursday. "We will be adding new NPCs to the game in order to power up your characters," Mythic promises.
