Sony’s Japan Studio is working on a new platforming VR game with a cute robot hero that wouldn’t look out of place in WALL-E. Titled Astro Bot Rescue Mission, it will be out next month in Japan and the US.

In case you just can’t get enough of Trico, Sony is releasing a PlayStation VR The Last Guardian “demo,” for free, on December 12. Sony says you’ll be able to “solve puzzles and see Trico up close.”

Dead Hungry, the VR game from Q-Games, has a PS4 release date. It will be out for PlayStation VR on October 24 and is playable either with the PlayStation Move or the DualShock 4.

Released this month, Bionik’s $49.99 Mantis headphones add relatively good quality integrated audio to PlayStation VR. They snap on easy, feature soft padded ear cups, and—best of all—make PSVR users look just a little bit more like insectoid space warriors.

If anything, the PlayStation VR headset makes an excellent TV prop. In episode seven of the current season of Syfy’s comic book-based space drama, Dark Matter, Six (Roger Cross) finds himself trapped inside a simulation powered by what seems to be ancient PlayStation technology.
