Mario Kart Tour is finally getting real-time multiplayer races on March 8. Following an update that will go live at 11:00 a.m., players will be able to race against one based around a rule set that will change daily. There’s also the choice to just race against friends

Nintendo has opened up signups for a Mario Kart Tour beta set to begin May 22. The full mobile game will be released later this summer. Beta signups are currently only for Android.

Mario Kart: Tour will be “free to start.” That’s according to DeNA exec Isao Moriyasu during a recent financial briefing. Nintendo is developing the game, while DeNA is handling the server, online infrastructure, and backend issues.
