This is definitely hyperbole on my part, but why does it seem like bloody everything is having card game functionality shoved into it these days?

Don’t get me wrong—I enjoy a good hand of Poker, and I absolutely adored Gwent in its TW3 incarnation—but I dislike playing games wherein a hand of cards determines my moveset/offensive options.

I get that plenty of people do like games like that, and I’m glad they’re getting them--but wherefore this glut of “y’know what would make this game even better?  CARDS!”
