Street Fighter Champion Breaks Up With His Main Character

Pick your favorite Street Fighter competition moment - like this - and most likely it stars Daigo Umehara, as Ryu. That's coming to an end, the world champ said, after getting a look at Super Street Fighter IV's arcade edition.

"It's over for projectile characters," Daigo said, with a laugh, in remarks to Famitsu (translated by Shoryuken). All non-projectile characters have been buffed in the arcade edition, Daigo reports. Only Deejay got a buff among fireballers. "Sagat has gotten better, but Ryu, Akuma, Guile, Dhalsim, and I suppose Chun, they've all gotten nerfed., And grapplers have also gotten buffed."

"But I plan to use Yun so it's not a big deal for me," says Daigo.

So, get ready to see a lot of Yun when that character comes to the console version.
