Next week is Thanksgiving. Excited? No way you're more excited than Sony is about its Thanksgiving sales on movies and TV and phallic imagery.

Kotaku reader Sirsonik spotted this turkey on the PlayStation home screen earlier today.

Right above the two people making out. Subtle! Below is a photo of the romance movies section.

Only America could recreate, and then invade popular culture, with a holiday no one else now celebrates.

England had Thanksgiving in tudor times to celebrate victories over their enemies. We don't commemorate that every year with a feast.

Funnily enough the celebration of Giving thanks came from England. It's just we grew out of it. Anyone who moved to the Americas from England, who were trying to get away from tradition and the dogma of the Church (which is incredibly ironic giving how traditionalist and religiously dogmatic large parts of America actually are), now hold a tradition that came from the place they tried to get away from!

America had one good harvest in Plymouth (American version of Plymouth), and suddenly that's it. 400 years later everyone in the world has to keep fucking hearing about it.

Good grief. Gives us a break.
