Microsoft is holding the "world premier" of Project Natal the Sunday before E3 2010, with a special performance by Canada's own Cirque du Soleil adding an air of magic, wonderment, and subtle creepiness to the evening.
Sunday, June 13 is the date of what Microsoft is calling the "world premiere" of Project Natal, the camera-based motion sensing peripheral for the Xbox 360, and what better way to herald the coming of a device that marries movement and gaming than with the movement experts of the Cirque du Soleil?
For 24 years the Cirque has been delivering astounding themed performances, mixes live music with character-driven performances. For man, it's the first thing that comes to mind when they think 'circus.'
Sunday's Project Natal event is open to all ages, and will be followed on Monday morning by an Xbox 360 press briefing. Kotaku will be there for both, taking pictures if we can get over the magic and wonderment of it all.
I just hope this doesn't mean I'll need to suspend a rope from my ceiling to play Project Natal. I've tried it before, and it always ends in tears.
