Mega Kangaskhan ex Special Illustration Rare
This was the card my kid was most excited to pull from the cards we were sent, but unfortunately it wasn’t in there. “I know,” I always think, “I’ll just buy one for him when the set’s properly in the wild.” And then I look at the $93 price tag and instead think, “No, he’ll be fine.” It’s a completely gorgeous card though, right?! It’d look amazing in any binder, and even better if you slapped it down in the middle of a live match.
It comes from artist GOTO minori, who has provided some great cards for the last year, but nothing like this. Their full-art Enamorus was impressive for its bold and blocked colors, and similarly White Flare’s Pansear. But this Kangaskhan is a step beyond. It’s useful too, letting you pull an extra two cards from your deck every turn it’s in the Active Spot, as well as delivering a 200 minimum attack, with an extra 50 for every heads flipped in a row.
