Japanese comedy duo "Hannya" are appearing in a series of TV ads for Kirby's Epic Yarn. That's comedian Satoshi Kanada dressed as the "girlfriend".
In the ad, Kanda gets mad because her boyfriend says things like that the in-game flowers are pretty. And in the second ad, Kanada is a Japanese salaryman, while his comedic partner Akiyoshi Kawashima plays his boss.
Kanada, who has apparently been dating model Kanna Mori, is no stranger to dressing as a lady. And it's been pointed out that he makes one (relatively) attractive lady.
Nintendo — like many Japanese companies — often uses comedians to promote their games and hardware. Previously, funny men Audrey and 99 promoted Nintendo's wares.
