Japanese Textbook Doodles Are Terrific As Ever
Textbooks can be dull and dry. Know one way to spice them up? Goofy illustrations. Twitter user Chanta recently finished driver’s ed. and decided to fill the textbook will humorous scrawls. You might remember Chanta’s previous doodles, which spiced up English lesson books. As you can see here, part of the original photo or illustration…

Kylie Ren Is Also Very Upset About Darth Vader, Life
Cosplayer Mistress of Fear calls this Fem Kylo Ren, but I figured—in keeping with the theme—that Kylie Ren had a better ring to it. The lightsaber is obviously eye-catching, but check out the detail she’s worked into stuff like the sleeves and robes; it’s almost a shame, because the all-black nature of Ren’s outfit means…

The Force Awakens’ Concept Art Had Some Cool Ideas
The website of Industrial Light & Magic, the design and effects team made famous by the original Star Wars, has shared a massive art dump from The Force Awakens, containing images from throughout the film’s development. Which is probably more exciting than the art itself! I mean yes, it’s nice seeing some near-final artwork here,…

UncategorizedHey, There’s A New Frozen Synapse!
2011’s Frozen Synapse was a very good turn-based tactics game, one of the pioneers of the genre’s current Golden Age. Now we’re getting a very big sequel. While it’s retaining the core point of the original—you plan our moves in advance then watch them resolve in real-time—everything else about Frozen Synapse 2 sounds way more…

The Week In Games: Everybody Was Just Plain Fighting
I pieced together this image as a little joke for the top of the post, but the more I look at it the more I want to play a game where Pikachu Libre faces off against Conor McGregor. Sadly video games don’t work like Reese;s Peanut Butter Cups,so we’ll have to settle for picking up…

EsportsLast Night’s Record-Setting League Of Legends Match Lowered The Bar
In a Saturday night game that shattered the records for “creep score” recorded in a pro match, Echo Fox and Dignitas played an exciting, sloppy, and quintessentially North American League of Legends match that demonstrated why the region is consistently entertaining and consistently disrespected. Neither team was competing for a good playoff seed, nor even…

When this child is older and dominating chumps at the game of his/her choice, he/she will be able to say, “I been doin’ this since I was in diapers!” And it will be true. UncategorizedMario And Luigi At The 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards
Nintendo’s favorite son and his brother or whatever took the stage at last night’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, followed by a live-action Super Mario Bros. bit featuring that Goodburger guy. The Razer Wildcat Tries Really Hard To Take On The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller
Razer’s third-generation Xbox controller, the Wildcat is positioned as an alternative to Microsoft’s Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller. It is indeed a different way to pay $150 to control Xbox One and PC games, just not necessarily a better one. I love third-party console controllers, specifically third-party wired controllers. In these days of wireless game…
