During the Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojimawas askedabout Metal Gear Survive. He wasn’t rude per se, but honest. Soon, Pokémon Go will incorporate a type of bonus that will improve the catching experience as a whole. Norway’s Prime Minister Busted Playing Pokémon Go In Parliament

Governing isn’t all big speeches and campaign trails. There’s a lot of boring humdrum as well, something Norway’s Prime Minister has an effective solution for. Erna Solberg, the leader of Norway’s conservative party and Prime Minister of the country, was snapped by The Guardian on Tuesday playing Pokémon Go while in parliament. As they point…

Overwatch’s Hanzo, As A Lady

Some very cool crossplay here by Rinrin from China. Note that the tattoo isn’t real, it’s just drawn/painted on to match the design of Hanzo’s from the game. You can see more of Rinrin’s cosplay at her Weibo page. Photos by Flow Vision

There’s A Narcos Game, But It Sucks

Imagine my delight when I saw that there was an official game based on Netflix’s excellent Narcos! Then imagine my despair when I played it and found out it wasn’t just terrible, but it had almost nothing to do with Narcos The television series is about the hunt for Pablo Escobar, told from both the…

Ain’t No Party Like A Smash Bros. Party

Since Smash Bros.’ roster is drawn from other games, you might have thought it was impossible to cosplay as something genuinely, 100% Smash Bros. But that would be overlooking the humble Party Ball toddallthetime made this for GaymerX, and it is just too perfect.

Overwatch‘s Symmetra Is Getting A ‘Dramatic’ Overhaul

I love how unique Symmetra is as both a hero and a character, but… I’m a total trainwreck with her. Given that she’s one of Overwatch’s least-played characters, I’m guessing a lot of people share my sentiment. As part of a wide-ranging developer update, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan shed some light on Symmetra’s evolution.…

The Latest Hitman Episode Is The Good Kind Of Difficult

Hitman’s latest episode, “Freedom Fighters,” is very serious. Agent 47 infiltrates a militia compound in Colorado in pursuit of four targets. There’s not a lot of room for fun on the compound, for Rube Goldberg-esque murder traps that make Hitman memorable, but this fifth episode is great in another way. It’s hard Colorado’s targets are…

PS4 Skyrim And Fallout Are Getting Mods After All, But They Will Be Limited

Last month, Bethesda seemed to give up on the prospect of bringing mod support to the PS4 versions of Fallout 4 and Skyrim, saying that Sony just wasn’t having it. Now, though, both companies have made some compromises. Today Bethesda announced that mod support is coming to Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition on PS4.…

SteelSeries’ New Gaming Headsets Are Nothing Fancy, And That’s Great

I don’t know about a “complete overhaul of traditional gaming designs and headset technologies” as touted in the PR for SteelSeries’ new Arctis line of game-centric headwear, but they sound great, mic well and are incredibly comfortable. Plus they look good on professional DOTA 2 player Suma1l, so there’s that. No glaring lights, no honking…

A Note To Destiny Players Regarding This Week’s Iron Banner

Hi! It’s me, your favorite Guardian. Let’s talk about Iron Banner for a second. Yesterday, Destiny’s week-long PvP tournament returned with a twist. After much hinting, foreshadowing, and teasing, the newest Minecraft snapshot is out, showing us at long last what the much vaunted ‘exploration update’ has in store. The most exciting addition for this most recent update is the ‘shulker box’, an item built out of the newly added shulker husks, that finally upgrades your storage capabilities.…

Outlast 2 developer Red Barrels released a demo for their upcoming horror game yesterday in Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. I sat down for a late night playthrough to see if the demo could bring the scares. It does. The demo is only downloadable up until November 1st and is a pretty great way…
