Super Mario Odyssey Players Are Finding The Best Shortcuts and Secrets

One of the most impressive things about Super Mario Odyssey are the tight controls: Nintendo’s mascot has a ton of movement options. Players are using Cappy to skip entire portions before a Moon, or are using the hat to get into hard-to-reach areas. Better yet, Nintendo seems to have anticipated that fans would try to…

The Last Of Us Part II Gets A Brutal New Trailer

Today, Sony showcased The Last of Us Part 2, the second installation of developer Naughty Dog gritty survival horror game released in 2013, with a trailer that is very thrilling but almost made me hurl. Seriously—a woman in a noose props herself up on another woman who gets a hatchet buried in her head.…

The Monster Hunter World beta launches on December 9, giving players a little pre-season hunting before the game’s January 26 release. PlayStation 4 owners will be able to dress up as Horizon: Zero Dawn’s Aloy, complete with robot cat thing. Excellent.

Coming next year to the PS4 from Sony in-house studio PixelOpus, Concrete Genie is a game about a bullied teen named Ash who uses magical paint to bring his abandoned home town back to life. It’s quite lovely.

The Week In Games: Back To The Trenches

Call of Duty gets the week (nearly) all to itself. Like clockwork the month of duty calls again, this time ditching space for the safe, familiar confines of the last Great War. As much as I liked John Snow, it’ll be a relief to see the competitive Call of Duty circuit finally get to swap…

Last Year’s Nintendo Halloween Costume Gets A Logical Follow Up

In 2016, the dad from YouTube channel RuiRei Channel created a Famicom console costume to wear with his twin sons. This year, they’re back with the totally logical follow up: a Super Famicom costume. Like last year, the family designed and built the costume, which was dubbed “Super Fami Oyako” (スーファミ親子) or “Super Fami Parent…
