Each week throws off several new video game lists ranging from the humorous to the trivial. What's better? A list of those. Here's a roundup of the rundowns out there.
•The Top 15 Video Game Religions [UGO] We just wrapped up Religion Week here at Kotaku, and UGO also got into the spirit with a look at 15 faiths represented in games. I kind of dig the delusional fatalism of The Children of the Church of Atom. There's also the Covenant's and the Turians' religion and Unitology from Dead Space No. 1 is Christianity, courtesy of Left Behind: Eternal Forces.
•Top 10 Arcade Classics Game Room Needs to Be Epic [Planet Xbox 360] I played Yars' Revenge for about 30 minutes the day the Xbox Live Game Room debuted and haven't been back since. This list of 10 old Atari/Intellivision games, plus some arcade titles, would definitely hold my attention. Warlords is a great choice and it's No. 10. But they forgot Zookeeper and Pengo.
•Top 10 Gaming Handheld FAILs of All Time [The Kartel] Most of us can recite many on this list from memory, if not in order. Gizmondo, Atari Lynx, N-Gage and of course, the Virtual Boy, still the undisputed No. 1. The list also reminds us of the NEC Turbo Express and Bandai Wonderswan - the latter of which was never released in the U.S.
•Nine Fantastically Hard Boss Battles That Were Worth It [Ego TV] This is the kind of list that could be 10 times as long, but you've gotta start somewhere. Mike Tyson's No. 2 on the list and would be my No. 1 as I never played Mushihimesama. Most of the games are old-school, reflecting the disparity in difficulty across generations. Tavion from Jedi Outcast still brought that kind of hardcore difficulty, and it was immensely satisfying to finally bring down her gloating ass.
•Five Terrible TV Shows (...That Could be Redeemed as Videogames) [GameSpy] Oh man, I could do this shit 24/7. "Cop Rock." "227" "Family Matters" ESPN's "Around the Horn" and anything TBS has ever promoted during the baseball playoffs. GameSpy keeps things mostly current, with "Two and a Half Men," "The Cleveland Show," and, at No. 1, "The Tonight Show."
