Kotaku 'Shop Contest: History's Greatest Villains Winners

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

Last week, we asked you to take some of the most revered, most admired and least threatening figures of history and swap them out for the most dreadful and frightening adversaries in video games - as if John Adams were, for example, a Triceratops.

Here's what we got.

Krakenstein (12), who inspired our contest, added to it with three more sauropod founding fathers. Jimmy_Jazz (9) and soeasytoate (18) both gave Batman a more erudite, less insane nemesis.

Bouzi's (3) is a smidge subtle but you'll see it on the table; ConfederateRokr(5) knows where power truly lies in the universe. skitzogreg (17) is creates a one-man mutual-admiration society of bastards; killah101 (11) wasn't the only one to think of Darth Malak, just the most creative.

Ambolee (1) beautifully retrofitted Mega Man's Robot Masters to Mr. Men. KaiserSpiegel (10) asks where one's curled facial hair is at, in a very timely way. But my overall winner is GanymedeJupiter; for some reason bringing Honest Abe as Dracula's Castlevania stand-in kicked me in the tickle-box.

Congratulations everyone. See you in here tomorrow.
