Kotaku 'Shop Contest: Backstage At Nintendo World

Yesterday, we brought you three videos of NIntendo's live performance of its greatest video game themes at the 3DS hands-on event going on this weekend in Japan. A couple of commenters noticed that strange guy hanging around backstage.

Now, he's probably a production assistant, or a sound technician, or something prosaic. But this morning, he's the subject of our latest Kotaku 'Shop Contest challenge, brought to us by PajamaSam and Recoil (who did the image above).

This one practically 'shops itself, gang. Take Backstage Guy, or the band, or both, and do something hilarious. I'll give you three screengrabs to work with, but feel free to go into the video and take your own if there's something from the rest of the performance (it was nearly 30 minutes long) that caught your eye.

Post your submissions in the comments. The 20 best will get rounded up and published at the end of next Saturday. Meantime, I and the rest of the starred commentariat will approve and promote as many as we can so folks can see them and pass judgment. Remember, if you're trying to get a comment account approved, turning in a worthy 'shop is an easy path to the privilege.

One important note: We deliberately don't set content rules here, as this Contest doesn't award anything material, just recognition, and we want everyone to participate. That said, don't post anything here that isn't yours. If you're putting it here as another source image for others, fine, but be clear that's what you're doing. Thanks.
