We just got our first look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake! Here it is! And it’s out on November 5, 2026.
Looks like Nintendo’s gone with a pretty detailed look this time. There’s a sort of stylized realism to it. Look at Link’s outfit! His hat! There’s a designated jump button, and a free camera! Link can dive underwater and swim properly! He can roll into a sprint now too to move faster! Time keeps going even when you’re in town!
There’s a brand new feature in this remake that lets you hum, sing, or even play notes into the microphone of the Switch 2. If Link knows the song you sing or play, he’ll play it on his ocarina too. So you don’t necessarily have to remember button combos if you know the tunes and can hum them yourself.
Eiji Aonuma in the presentation referred to this game as a “faithful interpretation using modern technologies” and reminded everyone that it has a “different appeal from other [Zelda games] like Breath of the Wild.”
This remake of Ocarina of Time was first revealed back in June with a long, mural-based lead-up to a single shot of Link asleep in his forest home. Today is the first time we’ve gotten any real information or look at what sort of remake this is.
