Halo: Campaign Evolved is looking very crisp, bright, and Unreal Engine 5-y in its new mission trailer. It might not have the same feel and character of the original, but it is certainly very, very shiny looking. The other big news is that the remake will feature three new story missions called Operation: Meteorite.
Microsoft revealed during its 2026 Xbox summer showcase that its remake of 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved for the original Xbox will arrive on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting on July 28 for $50, though fans who buy the $70 premium edition will unlock access a full five days earlier on July 23.

Operation: METEORITE is a new three-mission story arc that takes place a year before the events of the first game. Featuring the Master Chief and Sgt.
