It’s kind of crazy to think that Grand Theft Auto 6, the game so big it feels like business analysts are putting its success at the center of conversations on the longevity of the video game industry, was once supposed to be out in just a few weeks. Before Rockstar delayed the game to November 19, Grand Theft Auto 6 was supposed to be launching on May 26. The company then announced it wanted another six months to work on the game, and while fans were not happy about it, the company seems pretty confident it won’t slip once more. What’s also wild is that as of today, May 6, we haven’t seen hide nor hair of the game in a full year.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has only had two trailers, and the last one we got premiered on May 6, 2025. With just two minutes and 46 seconds, Rockstar gave fans something to chew on and has been mostly radio silent on the game since. Unsurprisingly, fans who are eagerly anticipating the game have started to gnaw at the bars of their enclosures, desperate for a new look at the life and times of lovers Jason and Lucia. They’re gathering evidence that a third trailer could be coming any day now. Though both existing trailers do a good job of setting the tone for the romantic crime drama, we still haven’t seen Grand Theft Auto 6 actually being played, even with the game six months away from launch.

At least this situation gave me an excuse to rewatch the scene of Jason fixing the “leaks” in nothing but cargo shorts and a backwards cap. Here’s hoping we see more such views between now and GTA 6’s November 19 launch.
