Remember all those lovely blue and pink dragons and purple chicken beaked things, those brightly colored characters from the original Golden Axe? You won't see much of that in the debut trailer for Sega's Golden Axe: Beast Rider, the adventure game that features a playable Tyris Flare who has traded in bikini and boots for something a bit more extreme. If we're sounding a bit down on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 franchise reboot, it's because there's not a single purple chicken beaked thing in sight.
yeah.. ive always wondered how they could make side scrollers and beat em ups great in 3d. i dont think any of my favorite retro games have been as impressive in 3D. sonic, shinobi, castlevania, metroid, contra, and mega man just dont feel the same in the third dimension. 3d fighters are great, but i prefer 2d. x-men legends? a blast, but nothing compares to the 1992 konami x-men arcade.
these ppl had a hand in final fight streetwise.. FINAL. FIGHT. STREETWISE. man that game was so bad, and it also was really unfaithful. so theres no surprise here. to be honest though, the golden axe trilogy (in japan at least) on the genesis, and golden axe: the duel were all mediocre at best. if it werent for death adders revenge, i wouldnt have such love for this series. now id sell my money to have a live arcade port of that game.
