Summary

Visco Arcade 1 is a physical arcade compilation cartridge for the Evercade system, published by Blaze Entertainment in collaboration with French retro publisher Pixelheart, and released on August 28, 2026. It is the twenty-third cartridge in Evercade’s arcade line and collects eight games from the early arcade history of Japanese developer and publisher Visco Corporation, spanning shoot ’em ups, racing, and arcade curiosities originally released on arcade hardware and the NEOGEO platform. The cartridge is compatible with all Evercade hardware, including the Evercade Alpha, and with HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket handhelds. NEOGEO-based titles offer a choice between arcade and console versions, and the collection supports full dipswitch controls. It ships with a printed color manual featuring background information on each game, alongside a physical case. Visco Arcade 1 was released alongside a companion cartridge, Visco Arcade 2, which covers later Visco releases from the 1990s.

The eight games included are:

– Ashura Blaster (1990) — vertically scrolling shoot ’em up
– Asuka & Asuka (1989) — vertically scrolling shoot ’em up, set in a near-future 1996 where players pilot the Asuka fighter aircraft against an alien threat attacking across different points in history
– Drift Out (1991) — top-down rally racing game, the first entry in Visco’s Drift Out series
– Earth Joker – U.N. Defense Force (1994) — horizontally scrolling shoot ’em up
– Galmedes (1992) — vertically scrolling shoot ’em up
– Maze of Flott (1993) — maze-based driving/action game where players search for treasure and can drive inside buildings
– Andro Dunos (1992) — NEOGEO horizontally scrolling shoot ’em up
– Goal! Goal! Goal! (1995) — NEOGEO arcade soccer game
