Spooky Express is a puzzle game that puts you in control of a little train and, above all, challenges you to think before you act. British studio Draknek & Friends, already known for several acclaimed logic games, is behind the game’s design, environments, and writing. Spooky Express puts you in charge of the only railroad company willing to transport the undead of Trainsylvania, and your job is to build the tracks that will take them home. Each level presents a small scene with a starting point, a destination, and passengers waiting to board. You lay the tracks using your mouse or finger, then send the train on its way to see whether it follows the correct route.
Each creature has a specific destination, and that’s where the game gets interesting. Spooky Express pits you against vampires who want to return to their coffins, zombies looking to get back to their graves, and humans who have sneaked aboard the train. The humans must be escorted home before they become a meal. The train can carry only one passenger at a time, and the tracks cannot cross themselves. You therefore have to work out the correct pickup order and route, or the train will miss a stop.
The first levels help you get to grips with the basics, while later stages gradually introduce new elements to consider. Spooky Express features over 200 levels set in a variety of locations, from a pumpkin patch and a mansion to a warmer underground setting. Each location has its own atmosphere, animated details, and music composed by Priscilla Snow. Between chapters, comic strips illustrated by David Hellman and Zac Gorman recount the passengers’ misadventures.
On PC, Spooky Express saves your progress to the cloud and offers achievements to unlock. On mobile, you can play in portrait mode with one hand and pick up where you left off. There are no ads between levels, and the developer states that the game does not collect any personal data.

Mini Metro moves away from pure puzzle-solving and toward management gameplay while retaining a minimalist design. You map out subway lines in a growing city, connect stations, and adapt your network as new stations open. Resources are limited, and passengers pile up when a line is poorly designed. Your goal is to keep the system running for as long as possible. Developed by Dinosaur Polo Club, it’s a paid game available on Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as Android, iPhone, iPad, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation.
