My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic was an upcoming fan-made fighting game inspired by the animated television series My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. It was under development by a team of nine volunteers who call themselves Mane6. Being of a fan-made nature, this game was neither licensed nor endorsed by Hasbro.
The latest documentary from fighting game community storytellers Hold Back to Block chronicles the creation of Them’s Fighting Herds, a fighter that started as a My Little Pony fan game before a Hasbro cease and desist took it in a new and different direction. It’s one of my favorite fan game stories ever.
