Dies irae: Pantheon was envisioned as a large-scale crossover project within the Shinza Bansho franchise, inspired by the Super Robot Taisen series.

The project experienced severe development difficulties, changing co-development partners twice before Light’s parent company Greenwood dissolved on March 31, 2019, leading to the game’s cancellation.
