Press play on this video and read that headline in the voice of former Chicago Bulls public address Ray Clay, because the game's soundtrack includes "Sirius" by the Alan Parsons Project, the team's intro song during the Michael Jordan era.
Jordan, of course, is on the cover of the game and appears on the rosters of eight classic Bulls teams and in the 10-game "Jordan Challenge." So the old intro anthem was a must.
Deep down, although this is just me tossing coins in a fountain, I was holding out hope the game would surprise us with "Roundball Rock," the famed opening theme for the NBA on NBC, another piece of music closely identifiable with the Jordan years. Interestingly, John Tesh, who composed that song, owns it - NBC does not. I don't know if that makes it more or less difficult to get it into a game. People would jump right out of their shoes if they got to play a game kicked off by both that and "Sirius." But if it really was coming, I think 2K would have said something.
